Miami, FL — The Miami, Symphony Orchestra,(MISO), and It’s Music, Director and CEO, maestro Eduardo Marturet are pleased to announce the appointment of Mika George as its new Assistant Conductor, effective immediately.
Mika George was selected following a competitive search that attracted 21 highly qualified applications from emerging conductors, both nationally and internationally. The selection process reflected MISO’s commitment to artistic excellence and to identifying leadership talent aligned with the orchestra’s long-term vision.
In this role, George will work closely with the Music Director, assisting in rehearsals and performances, serving as cover conductor, and leading selected educational and outreach initiatives—further strengthening MISO’s artistic and community impact.
