The Miami Symphony Orchestra’s Conducting Fellowship gives a talented young conductor an exceptional opportunity to experience every aspect of leading a professional orchestra, including conducting, artistic and personnel management, education, and production.
Beginning January 2027, during the 2026-2027 Season, the Fellow will work alongside MISO covering rehearsals, taking balance notes, and supporting the artistic and production teams throughout each performance. Fellows will also take part in MISO’s educational and outreach programs while receiving mentorship from Maestro Eduardo Marturet. This Fellowship is open to conductors residing in Miami.
Please prepare a letter of interest, a resume or CV, letters of recommendation, and video samples of your conducting. Videos should be shared as links through a streaming service such as YouTube or Vimeo, and each should run no longer than five minutes. Send all materials to productionteam@themiso.org.
The Conducting Fellow will commit to at least three subscription concerts in MISO’s 2026-2027 Concert Season.
The Fellowship is tuition-free. A small stipend will be offered to help cover the costs of travel if needed.
