Fu-An Li was born in 2005 in Taiwan. In 2015 he won the third prize in a recital for Taipei City Student Music Competition and won the first prize in several piano competitions throughout Taiwan. Also, he was invited to tour at orphanages for public performances.He was also awarded an Honorable Mention of Alexander & Buono International piano completion in New York. In 2016 he has performed Haydn’s concerto in D major in Music Festival Perugia in Italy. In addition to his piano studies, he is a student in the intellectual-gifted class as well and also a player on the school soccer team.
Luke Yang, 11, is a 6th grader at Herbert A. Ammons Middle School in Miami, FL. Born in Santa Monica, CA, Luke started playing piano when he was five years old. He moved to Miami with his family in the June of 2011. Since then he has been learning piano with Dr. Adam Aleksander (Aug., 2011~ Aug., 2014) and Dr. Marina Radiushina (Sept. 2014~ present). He was proudly selected to perform in the 2016 “Chopin for All” annual local Young Pianists Concert sponsored by the Chopin Foundation. He has been a proud scholarship winner of Coral Gables Music Club since 2015.
Alejandra Sarmiento is a 12 year old sixth grader who studies piano with Maria Gomez. Since 2013 she has participated in local and state competitions, masterclasses, and has won several awards. These include -Masterclass on December 2014 with Meng-Chieh Liu, member of the Curtis Institute of Music faculty. -Masterclass on March 2016 with Judith Burganger, former professor and resident artist at the Cleveland Institute of Music and Florida Atlantic University. -Masterclass on November 2016 with Dr. Roberta Rust, Head of the Piano Department at the Lynn University Conservatory of Music. The American Association for Development of the Gifted and Talented (AADGT) International Young Gifted Musicians Festival ¨Passion of Music 2015¨ Winners Concert at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall (June 14, 2015) Gold Medal. 2016 Broward County Music Teachers Association Intermediate A Competition, 1st place Alternate in the Florida MTNA Competition "Junior Performance 2016. Won the Special Chopin Prize awarded for the best performance of a Chopin piece at the 2016 Florida MTNA Junior Piano Competition, awarded by the Chopin Foundation. Florida Children in the Arts Piano Competition, 2nd place, Advanced 2 Category Winner of the 2016 Steinway Young Virtuoso Scholarship Award, best performance according to the public. Alejandra loves sports, practicing swimming and volleyall. She is an excellent student, having been presented the Barack Obama's President's Award for Educational Achievement in 2013 in recognition of outstanding academic accomplishment. Alejandra was accepted to the Davidson's Young Scholars program in 2016.
Madison Yan was born on February, 24, 2004. Currently, she is a 8th grade student at Bak Middle School of the Arts (West Palm Beach, FL), majoring in Violin. She started studying piano at the age of five. At age seven, Madison began studying with Mr. Phillip Evans. She continued her piano training with Dr. Irena Kofman in 2012. She also has master classes with Dr. Ciro Fodere, Mr. Tao Lin and Mr. Kevin P. Kenner. Since 2014. Madison has won numerous awards from local events to state competitions. Patricia started learning piano at the age of 3 and half in Beijing, China. At the age of 5, Patricia studied with Na Yu who is the top graduate from Ecole Nationale De Musique L’Hay-Les-Roses Paris. At the age of 8, Patricia studied with Yuan Ling, who is one of the most famous Chinese piano educator. Patricia now is studying with Professor Susan Starr since the age of 9 in Philadelphia, PA. Awards: In Feb 2017, Patricia was awarded the prize of 3rd place Platinum in the “Young Classical Virtuosos of Tomorrow” competition in Pennsylvania, and as the result, Patricia was invited to perform at the Kimmel Center on Jun 18, 2017. In Oct 2015, Patricia was chosen “First Prize Winner” of the “79th Steinway International Young Piano Competition” in Beijing. In Aug 2014, Patricia was given “Honorable Mention” in “Xinghai” Cup National Young Piano Competition 2014 in Beijing. In June 2014, Patricia won “Gold Medal” on “Jing Zhu” Cup 2014 in Beijing. In June 2014, Patricia was chosen as a “First Place Winner” of “Sunflower” Cup National Young Piano Competition 2014 in Shenzhen. In May 2013, Patricia won “Gold Medal” on 2013 Beijing Piano Festival, and performed in Beijing Capital University Music Hall in Dec 2013. In Mar 2013，Patricia won “Gold Medal” on Golden Key Music Festival of the United States 2013. In Jan 2013, Patricia was chosen as a “Third Place Winner” of the American Protégé International Piano & Strings Competition 2013, and performed in Carnegie Hall New York in March 2013. In Oct 2012, Patricia was chosen as a “Second Place Winner” of the American Protégé International Music Talent Competition 2012, and performed in Carnegie Hall New York in March 2013. In July 2012, Patricia won the “Second Prize” in the 17th HONG KONG-ASIA PIANO OPEN COMPETITION in Children D Group in Beijing Preliminary contest. In Mar 2012, Patricia was chosen as a “Second Place Winner” on 2nd British Royal International Music Competition (Chinese Trials).
Tu-Anh Nguyen is 12 year old and has been studying piano since the age of 5. She showed interest in piano even before she could read while sitting in her older sister's piano lessons. She studies piano with Dr. Irena Kofman. She studied piano theory and composition with Mr. Donald Waxman.
She won numerous first prizes at the Federation of Florida State Music Club Convention including in the concerto, solo and colloborative events since 2010. She received several awards over the years with Children in the Arts Piano Competition. She placed first at both the Broward and Palm Beach Counties Scholarship competitions in 2015. She was selected as winners of the American Protege’s International Romantic Music Competition and performed at Carnegie Hall Weil Recital Hall in March 2014. Tu-Anh performed at the Chopin Foundation's yearly Young Pianists Concerts from 2011-2016. She competed in the InternationalYoungest Chopin Competition in Poland in 2015 and placed for the winners recital. She won first prizes in the South Florida Young Artist Solo Competition in 2014-2016. She attended masterclasses Van Cliburn Piano Competition and Texas Christian University in Master Classes in 2010 and several others including with Sean Chen, Margarita Shevchenko.
She currently attend Pine Crest School in Boca Raton where is a member of the school's orchestra. Tu-Anh loves volleyball and plays regularly with her varsity and travel volleyball teams.
